Author Guidelines
Journal of Finance Integration and Business Independence (JoFIBI) welcomes high-quality, original research contributions that align with its scope, which includes topics in finance, business integration, independence, economics, and related fields. To facilitate a smooth submission and publication process, authors are requested to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Scope of the Journal
The JoFIBI publishes research articles, review papers, case studies, and policy analyses that focus on:
- Financial integration and market dynamics
- Business independence and organizational structures
- Corporate governance and financial strategies
- Economics of financial systems and institutions
- Emerging trends in business and finance
- Cross-border finance and investment
- Financial inclusion and digital innovation
2. Types of Submissions
- Research Articles: Empirical or theoretical studies presenting original findings (5,000–8,000 words).
- Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of literature or methodologies (4,000–6,000 words).
- Case Studies: Real-world applications or explorations of business and finance phenomena (3,000–5,000 words).
- Short Communications: Concise reports of significant preliminary findings (2,000–3,000 words).
Word counts include abstract, references, and appendices.
3. Manuscript Preparation
3.1 General Format
- Language: Submissions must be in clear and concise English (U.S. or U.K. spelling, consistently applied).
- Document Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
- Margins and Spacing: 1-inch margins on all sides; 1.5 line spacing throughout, including references and tables.
- Font and Size: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
3.2 Structure of the Manuscript
Title Page:
- Full title (concise, specific, and informative)
- Author names, affiliations (department, institution, city, country), and ORCID IDs (if applicable).
- Corresponding author details: Full name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
Abstract:
- A structured abstract of 200–250 words, including:
- Purpose of the study
- Methodology used
- Key findings and implications
- Originality and contribution to the field
Keywords:
- Provide 4–6 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
Main Text:
- Organize the manuscript into the following sections:
- Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance.
- Literature Review: A critical evaluation of existing research relevant to the topic.
- Methodology: Detailed explanation of research design, data collection, and analytical methods used.
- Results: Present findings clearly with appropriate tables, figures, and statistical interpretations.
- Discussion: Interpretation of results, implications, limitations, and recommendations.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings, contributions, and future research directions.
References:
- Follow the APA (7th Edition) referencing style. Ensure accuracy and consistency in citations.
- All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
- Example of references:
- Journal Article: Smith, J. A., & Brown, R. L. (2020). Financial integration in emerging markets. Journal of Finance Integration, 25(4), 45–60.
- Book: Johnson, K. (2018). Business Independence in Modern Economies. Oxford University Press.
3.3 Tables and Figures
- Tables:
- Numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Table 2).
- Include concise titles above the table and explanatory notes below.
- Use consistent formatting; do not embed images of tables.
- Figures:
- Numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2).
- Provide titles below figures and ensure high-quality resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
- Figures must be embedded in the text and submitted separately as .jpg or .png files.
4. Ethical Compliance
- Submissions must adhere to the ethical standards outlined in JoFIBI's Publication Ethics.
- Authors must:
- Confirm originality and avoid plagiarism (checked through plagiarism detection software).
- Declare any conflicts of interest.
- Obtain ethical approval for studies involving human or animal participants.
5. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the JoFIBI online submission system.
- The submission should include:
- Manuscript file (including tables and figures).
- Title page (uploaded separately, if required).
- Cover letter (optional but encouraged), outlining the manuscript's significance and contribution.
Correspondence: The corresponding author will receive notifications and updates regarding the review process.
6. Peer Review Process
- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure impartial evaluation.
- The review process consists of the following stages:
- Initial editorial screening for scope and quality.
- Assignment of at least two independent reviewers.
- Reviewer evaluation and feedback within 4–6 weeks.
- Editorial decision: accept, revise (minor or major), or reject.
Revised manuscripts must include a detailed response letter addressing reviewer comments.
7. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright to their work but grant JoFIBI the right to publish the manuscript.
- All published articles are licensed under a Creative Commons License (CC-BY or CC-BY-NC), allowing unrestricted sharing with proper attribution.
8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- The Journal of Finance Integration and Business Independence currently does not charge submission or processing fees.
9. Post-Publication
- Accepted articles are copyedited, proofread, and published online.
- Authors receive a final PDF version of their article.
- Articles are archived and indexed for long-term access and visibility.
